Not easy to cancel or close account...stay away folks! You will be in a cycle of disappointment. No longer able cancel thorugh Chat and the Reps will take you around and around in circles. There is no one at the drop off location to take the equipment. This is a cycle for businesses to keep you with them, it's a money maker. I do not recommend them. If yall want to fix this, then hire somebody to take in the equipment and give the customer a receipt...geese!

WOW has undoubtedly the VERY WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE on this planet. Call are routed to the Philippines and most agents barely speak English.

If you need to change anything, be ready to make numerous phone calls. IT IS THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER.

Bic problem

Hello I use your company's internet and returned the modem...the address I used for internet is 6950 vanghn point Dr APT D MONTGOMERY AL36117 I used it at this address, and during the corona period, I returned it probably around May 2020 by putting it in the return box at the Montgomery Wow company... But why was it posted in the collection for not returning the modem... So I was aggrieved. I paid about 499 dollars for the collection... But why did I still pay that money for the collection and the record is still there without erasing it... So I'm having trouble with credit problems... Where can I solve this problem? Can you tell me if I should file a complaint?

My service was disconnected from failure to pay my bill, the reason why I refused to pay was because I complained for over a month about the volume on my TV was going in and out, I called several times only to get disconnected and they never called me back. After 2 hours on the phone trying to troubleshoot the issue. Angrily I returned equipment in January or February, mind you my service was disconnected in November, why do you think I owe you over 600 for service I was never getting???

WOW has been Lying to me since I opened my account.

Probably the most dishonest company Ive ever dealt with. Theyve lied to me about nearly everything I have inquired about since opening my account. They tell you youll get some special promotion for opening an account with them, in my case $200.00, then they string you along with one excuse after another as to why you cant get the money and why they cant help fix the problem. Customer service is outsourced to an overseas location and they dont have access to correct any issues, they cant answer basic questions. Theyve closed local offices so you cannot have a face to face conversation.

Unannounced service suspension resulting in lost wages

To whom it may concern. I am a wow customer residing in albion, michigan. Tuesday may 2 2023 wow in my area initiated a service upgrade apparently requiring wow to shut off service to multiple households in my area. They did not send out an email ahead of time warning customers of the potential disruption. As a result it has been 3 days of no internet when i work from home. Ive spent countless hours on hold trying to get ahold of tech support ive realized is in a different country trying to troubleshoot my problem. They sent out a technician wensday the 3rd that did no diagnostics yet was sure my modem was bad and replaced it. Said things were running and left before i could check.i litterally asked what i should do if it continues not to work. And his exact words were it wont ever stop working again . It was not working by the time he left the drive way. Upon calling back to support waiting another hour on hold. They say they will send out another tech to confirm i didnt mess with anything and would ensure my internet is working as i am missing work due to not having internet and my employers deem that as my problem. He shows up at 2 the next day(5/3) I tell him i saw a wow truck at 10pm working on my street on 5/3 and again at 7:30am. He said they are doing upgrades in my area and would look into it. He realized the technician doing the work was his friend so he called him. He told him to do the upgrade they had to shut off the service to multiple houses in our area. And they would ensure they have it on by 4pm and if they dont to call him. It was still off. It was still off and he sent me to voicemail everytime i tried calling and his mailbox was full for vm. I called wow customer service to rectify. They said their records showed we refused him entry and wanted to charge a cancellation fee. I fought this and they dropped it. They denied there was upgrades going on. And said they needed me to reset things to fix the problem. I tried explaining multiple times that there was no service coming in for them to send a signal to. And that a tech came out and confirmed this and said he didnt have the power to restore service. I made it abundantly clear i cannot go another day without internet as i will have to rationlize all this bs to my employer for the 4th day and if they sent another tech that cant fix the problem then they will send another one after that again and it will be a freakin full week without being able to work because of wow. If they would have sent out an email to customers advising they were upgrading the service and as a result some customers may temporarily lose service just report it etc then i could coordinate something with my employer. This is unacceptable. I asked to speak with a manager to the physical location locally in my state and was denied. I went outside of my house and talked to one of the linmans doing the upgrades that confirmed they worked for wow. And that it was concerning to him that my internet was down for that long but that he wasnt allowed to do anything with houses so i had to go thru the proper channels. This has me out of so much money that i could have litterally paid out the rest of my wow bill for the year and switched to another provider and had service restored quicker. But then i would be paying wow for letting their customers down. Also why am i being charged for internet that i dont have access to? Im sorry but from my expirience in retail awhile ago given but still. I would be replaced as regional head and a lot more money would be spent repairing client relations then the simplicity of being transparent. As of writing this i still dont have internet. My biggest desire is to get servive restored immedielty at this point i dont care if someone comes out in the middle of the night. I need to work tomorrow. If i lose my job as a result of wow dropping the ball or someone forgetting to turn my service back on there will be *** to pay. Some form of compensation as well. I apologize if this is the wrong area for this. Your company does not give the customer the ability to communicate directly with it as most do. Im really not trying to be rude. But put yourself in my shoes living paycheck then you lose half a paycheck because a company didnt do their job. Then that same company also expects you to pay them more money the next month. I would really appreciate it if this could be passed to the appropriate channels.

User's recommendation: Stay away from wow. Does not value customers. Outsources all of their services to unreliable companies. The employees doing the work even call a foreign call center. You will not be taken care of, listened to, nor understood. The company lies about outages, isnt transparent when performing upgrades. I believe they were even installing 5g as now i have new wifi networks showing up titled wow-5g which is also concerning with the health concerns that i thought were still under review. 1 star for all bc if ur product doesnt work and u dont have customer service(outsourcing to bangladesh doesnt count) and no way to contact anyone from wow to discus issues.

Increase in service

I started with this company 2yrs aho when I bought my house, the price was 35.00 it has increased by double, now its 68.99, if you increase this one more time I will cancrl your service, I'm on a fixed income and this is very high fir my budget. Zorina Pride

Been with Wow for 20 years and I can see its a matter of time before I get finally upset enough to leave. When I call with issues the wait is 15 minutes and then have a difficult time understanding the person, asked to be transferred to United States and was told that was shut down and must use India office. My TV has random lines that go across the screen, the tech person said I will have to switch to the streaming service at some point very soon. I asked four different people at WOW if I switch to the streaming will I still be able to channel surf, obviously India does not understand this term, I explained I want to just change the channel and see the next channel. The 3 people said I will have to pick the channel from the home screen - similiiar to Nexflix. Then the technician who came to the house to replace the router said they are wrong, if you have live streaming you can surf just like today. How stupid Wow tech support does not understand my concern. Right now I am not sure how streaming works. Might just be easier to go to Xfinity.

Damaged Junction Bix

Workers recently installed WOW fiber in my neighborhood (125 Pine Gate Drive, Greenville SC 29607). WOW cable was laid parallel to existing ATT cable and tied into existing ATT junction box. Workers destroyed the box during installation. I asked if they would replace the box but none of them spoke English. ATT will not replace the box because they didnt break it. Please advise course of action. Thanks

Well, I stayed on hold for an hour and 20 minutes. Every time it would give an estimated wait time it would change down then when it got to 3 minutes it went back up to 45 minutes. If I had an alternative to Wow this Sux, I would change in a heartbeat.

Getting ahold of a human is nearly impossible. You hang on chat & phone for over and hour and then it hangs up. Ask to cancel and its not cancelled. They reduced my speed without my knowledge. Paid the same monthly amount. Dishonest!

Because Wow can’t get my WiFi to work

Ive called many times, just goes back to basics unplug wait it should come back on all done. Its been 3 months since my service has been going on and offf. Ive always unplugged and plugged back in. Its been 3 weeks since its been really bad. Probably unplugging about 10 times a day. Now it just doesnt work anymore. I call for service, and they cant get to me for 2 days. WiFi is 24/7 which means Wow should be 24/7 why cant I get service???
